Its been called the lungs of the Lower Mainland because it helps regulate the mild climate that attracts so many inhabitants to the Metro Vancouver region. And its an essential resting and refueling point for the more than 100 species of migratory birds that travel Pacific flyways as well as providing vital habitat for rare and endangered species....
