Solenix is an independent and international group of companies providing engineering and consulting services in the space market. Among our customers are international space agencies, as well as small and large space companies. Our key capabilities include software engineering and machine learning. We are looking for a fulltime Business Development Manager to join our Business Development Team in Darmstadt, Germany. Business Development Manager 202025 Job Description The responsibility of the Business Development Manager is to develop and acquire new business according to the groups strategy. Activities include market research, identification and monitoring of opportunities, and bid preparation in collaboration with other people in the company. The business development team consists of fulltime and parttime members with different areas of responsibility. The team reports directly to the Managing Director. The Business Development Managers role is very diverse and the holder of the position will get involved in many aspects of Solenixs activities. The position requires creativity, autonomy, an eye for details, very good organizational skills, and initiative. Key Responsibilties Develop Solenix business opportunities according to the companys strategy and in coordination with the Managing Director, the Head of Engineering and the technical teams. Analyse markets and identify market opportunities through monitoring platforms, news channels and networking with customers and partners. Plan, organise and execute business development activities, including following up on tender documentation and executing the endtoend lifecycle of the proposal preparation. Review and support the handling of contracts, financial budgets and legal documentation during a bid. Support recruitment and the evaluation of suitable candidates. Required Skills and Experience Masters degree or more than 3 years of experience in a relevant field Solid understanding of European and international space industry Excellent English skills, spoken and written Experience in project management or business development Broad technical understanding of various domains, including software engineering, data analytics, space industry topics and innovative technologies. Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to make people work together team player Very good ability and sensitivity to interact with customers and partners Professional and diligent attitude with a good eye for details Used to working autonomously and to drive projects independently Robustness, determination and ability to work under pressure Innovative and passionate personality Desirable Skills and Experience German skills Work Location The normal place of work is in Darmstadt, Germany. There is the possibility for partial remote working.
