One of our clients based in the UK is looking for a CC Software Engineer. This will be a permanent contract. As a member of the Ground Software Products Team you will be developing groundbased satellite mission software in areas such as Mission Control applications Spacecraft simulators Key Tasks As a successful candidate youll work alongside the System Engineer and other team members in order to deliver the required ground software for a mission. This involves the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment Requirements capture Architecture and design Implementation Unit, integration and system testing Bug tracking and version control Peer reviews including code reviews User documentation Liaising with customers, including formal customerfacing presentations and customer training Support for satellite commissioning and inorbit operations Qualifications A good Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computing or similar subject. Experience Demonstrable experience of developing C and C applications running under MS Windows and linux Knowledge Skills Essential Excellent C and Modern C on Windows and Linux GUI development in C Thorough understanding of objectoriented design Experience with networking protocols such as TCPIP, UDP Experience of full software lifecycle from requirements capture through to design, implementation and all levels of testing Good team working skills Good written and verbal communication skills Flexible and able to work under pressure MS Visual Studio 2010 The following are areas in which skills and experience are desirable however not crucial MFC wxWidget CLI UML Java GIT or other version control systems Eclipse Experience of the space sector
