In FeatureCAM 2015, programming of complex parts has been made easier with addition of automatic collision checking of tool shank and holder, as well as cutter, for both 3-axis roughing and finishing toolpaths. Maximum machine stock function removes direct moves where clipping has occurred, optimizing surface finish. During 5-axis programming of multiple holes, it is possible to create patterns of holes of similar size with regular positioning.
