Summary An experienced and knowledgeable engineer required to support ESA within Systems, Technology and Concurrent Engineering. Objective To provide support to the Galileo Space Segment System team, reporting to the Galileo FOC Satellite System Manager. Responsibilities Duties Specific tasks will include but will not be limited to Support to Satellite Qualification and Acceptance, from contract kickoff to launch, working in close cooperation with Subsystem experts, such as payload and platform, as well as AIV and PA. Technical coherency of the satellite system design, including system level budgets, system performance analysis. Satellite System tradeoffs in design phase based on subsystem inputs Satellites acceptance campaign and more specifically system tests. Satellite qualificationacceptance test matrix and test flow execution. Technical discussion raised through design and acceptance reviews such as PDR, CDR, QAR, AR. Timely implementation of fix from inorbit shortcoming. Qualifications Experience PhD or MSc in a relevant field At least 4 years of relevant industrial experience Good knowledge and proven experience in spacecraft systems in all project phases as well as in mission design and analysis. Demonstrated capabilities to work in space projects with complex technical and industrial interfaces Experience in satellite activities and more specifically in satellite system activities Qualities The position involves some travel, mainly within Europe. The engineer must be willing operate in a team environment Heshe should display good interpersonal and communication skills The engineer should be comfortable in an international working environment and be fluent in English Further Details All roles within Telespazio VEGA have a defined closing date, however if a successful candidate is found before the advert expires the role will be closed early.
