The idea that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles might free up space to keep and expand Jeep Wrangler production in Toledo simply by moving the Jeep Cherokee to an out-of-state plant seemingly came out of nowhere last week. Never did the possibility come up in the city's discussions with the company over the past year, nor was it something on the United Auto Workers' radar.
