CT Starts Statewide Push to Reduce Food Waste

In order to reduce the 2.5 million tons of waste produced in CT on an annual basis, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has started the Organics Infrastructure Initiative. The goal is to convert food waste into fuel and fertilizer.
