But on an island where the ocean creeps closer every year, it's a dangerous game people are being forced to play. Kiribati is a country of 33 such islands. With a population of over 100,000 at risk of losing their homes, livelihoods and culture, Kiribati has been thrust into the international spotlight for the impact of climate change and sea level rise.
