Capstone to Upgrade European Distribution Center for Major Italian Food Retailer

Capstone Turbine Corporation , the world's leading clean technology manufacturer of microturbine energy systems, announced today that it received an order for a C800 microturbine to upgrade a major European distribution center for Italian food retailer, Conad, in Fiano Romano, Italy. The methane-fueled C800 microturbine will be installed in a combined cooling, heat and power application to provide electricity to the facility as well as chilled water to refrigerate the warehouse using an ammonia absorption chiller.
