Car sales down in mining states

Automotive Holdings Group, which owns more than 150 dealerships, said strength in the NSW market was offsetting weakness in Western Australia. An economic downturn in the resources state appears to have contributed to a fall in new car sales this year, managing director Bronte Howson said.
