RedOrbit: Atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have surpassed 400 parts per million (ppm) for the first time in human history, according to data released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). According to USA Todays Doyle Rice, NOAA data revealed on Friday the average CO2 levels at the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii over the past five days were 400.03 ppm.
