Cargill partners with Tesla to help power California beef plant

Cargill Inc. , which has its Cargill Meat Solutions division headquartered in Wichita, has partnered with Tesla on a project to help power a beef processing plant in Fresno, Calif. The project, which also involves Pacific Gas & Electric, is utilizing Tesla batteries to help reduce operating costs by storing electricity at off-peak hours and then using it during peak hours.
