Cashmere prices have returned to lower levels in the spring before slightly recovering in the summer. China is still struggling with stagnating production partly due to new environmental rules, whereas the lack of a sustainable policy in Mongolia could result in a disaster, according to the I.M.F. Our report offers an overall picture of short-term and long-term trends of the cashmere market, including China's exports of fiber and yarns, with volume, value, and unit prices.
