Cato's same-store sales drop 10% in February

Charlotte-based Cato operated 1,348 stores in 32 states as of Feb. 28, up from 1,320 stores in 32 states a year ago. The Cato Corp. reports sales of $80.5 million for the four weeks ended Feb. 28. That's down 7 percent from sales of $87 million for the same period last year.
