CenturyLink fined USD 9 mln in Minnesota for overcharging customers

(Telecompaper) After paying USD 4 million to the state of Oregon and EUR 6.1 million to the state of Washington, CenturyLink has now agreed to pay USD 8.9 million to the state of Minnesota, settling accusations it overcharged customers. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said the company has also agreed to make "significant" billing reforms, including the disclosure of true prices, to honour all prices and discounts as promised, and to stop all "sham" internet fees.
