Charleston's Sonepar North America to merge with North Carolina industrial supplier

Sonepar North America, formerly Hagemeyer North America, will fold North Carolina-based competitor Industrial Distribution Group into its business under a deal announced last week. Formed in 1997 and based in Belmont, N.C., the acquired business is known as IDG.
