Chevron offers educational refinery tours to community

For Salt Lake resident Shauna Petersen, the Chevron oil refinery has been a community fixture for decades, but how it operated remained a mystery. So when Petersen's son found out about free tours being offered at the refinery Saturday, she decided it would be a good opportunity to learn more about the shiny plant near the freeway with the plumes of white vapor rising into the sky.
