China Apparel Exports in 1st Quarter 2019 (Quaterly Report)

China's apparel exports have declined in the first quarter this year in volume terms, more significantly falling to Germany and the U.K. but slightly rising to the US market. Exports in value terms have more clearly declined due to a fall of unit values after the renminbi has dropped vs the dollar. Chinese results have been very different depending on destinations and products, as reflected by our new quarterly report. Our statistical series provide a comprehensive picture of China's clothing exports in 1st quarter 2015-2019, including volume, value and unit value changes per destination. Market shares are also available with a series of indices offering a 4-year approach. Knit, woven and total apparel exports are separately displayed. All data are available for download.
