China Telecom 9-months profit jumps 9.4%

(Telecompaper) China Telecom reported revenues for the first nine months up 2.2 percent from the year before to CNY 243.6 billion. EBITDA was almost flat year-on-year at CNY 74.7 billion, with the EBITDA margin down to 34 percent from 35.6 percent the year earlier. Profit for the first three quarters jumped 9.4 percent to CNY 16.2 billion. Revenues from the sale of mobile terminals declined by 17 percent to CNY 23.3 million.
