China Tries Former State Oil Boss on Corruption Charges

A Chinese court says a corruption trial has started for the former chairman of the stated-owned parent of PetroChina Ltd., Asia's biggest oil producer. Jiang Jiemin was chairman of the state-run China National Petroleum Corp., the target of a sweeping graft investigation amid a larger anti-corruption campaign that has netted top officials and others.
