Chinese airlines will find it harder to grow at the same pace in 2016 amid base effects from low oil prices and rising competition Mainland Chinese airlines are poised to report record profits this week, being among the biggest beneficiaries of plunging fuel prices last year. But with fuel prices already at historic lows, Chinese airlines will find it harder this year to post the same kind of year-on-year growth, especially when their rapid expansion raises concerns about excess capacity that could dampen future returns.
