Chiquita bailing out early from Charlotte HQ

Chiquita will start dismissing 262 employees at its Charlotte headquarters on April 17 and close the office by year end. The company has notified the N.C. Commerce Department that 262 employees will be dismissed beginning April 17, with the headquarters closing by year end.
