Real estate executives say the 138,000 square feet that Chiquita is vacating at NASCAR Plaza doesn't impact their plans for new development. Real estate executives planning new office projects in uptown and midtown Charlotte say the big block of space produced by the closure of Chiquita Brands International Inc. at NASCAR Plaza will not impact their development time lines.
