Chiquita still interested in Fyffes despite Brazilians' proposal

Chiquita Brands International Inc. isn't giving up on the deal to buy Fyffes plc, despite a more valuable deal offered from two Brazilian companies. Chiquita says it's considering making some concessions to the European Union in exchange for its approval of the $ 526 million, all-stock tax-inversion deal to buy Fyffes and move the combined company's headquarters to Ireland.
