City of Savannah, SCAD considering wireless connection

The Savannah College of Art and Design may join forces with the city to install fiber-optic cable downtown for high-speed wireless connectivity. Under the agreement going before the Savannah City Council on Thursday, the city would allow SCAD to install the underground lines in public spaces and mount equipment necessary to offer enhanced wireless services for students and faculty and possibly the public.
