N.Y. investment firm is seeking three Imation board seats in move opposed by management.Clinton Group files Imation proxy solicitation The activist investor Clinton Group Inc. filed its preliminary proxy with Imation shareholders and regulators Thursday, alleging mismanagement and outlining why it wants to nominate three of its own candidates to Imation's board and slash executive and board member pay. The filing, which seeks the support of shareholders of the Oakdale-based Imation against the wishes of Imation's management, is the second run at a Minnesota company by the Clinton Group.
