Comcast to pay USD 150 mln to match Google's 7.85% in Arris

(Telecompaper) US cable operator Comcast has agreed to buy an around 7.85 percent stake in STB maker Arris for USD 150 million. Comcast is purchasing 10.6 million shares. The transaction is conditional upon the completion of Arris's USD 2.35 billion acquisition of Motorola Home from Google subsidiary Motorola Mobility, which will give Google also about 7.85 percent of Arris. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approval.
