Comptroller reports growth in NY agriculture industry

A report from the state comptroller's office showed the agriculture industry contributed $37.6 billion to New York's economy in 2012, up 22 percent from its impact in 2007. Released Tuesday, the report shows the state is ranked first nationwide for the production of a variety of dairy products as of 2012, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's 2012 Census of Agriculture.
