Made from steel-reinforced cellular concrete with minimal use of sand and cement, wall and pier caps are designed to facilitate handling, reduce freight expense, as well as facilitate cutting and shaping. Pier caps typically top columns and pillars, while wall caps (wall coping) complete walls of brick, block, and cast concrete. Pier caps come in 7 ¾–40 ¼ in.² sizes and 55+ designs, while wall caps come in 5 ½–20 in. widths and 54+ designs. Both types offer various styles.
