Are you a Configuration Management expert looking to widen your experience in a meaningful environment? EUMETSAT is the European operational satellite agency for monitoring weather, climate and the environment. We observe the atmosphere and ocean and land surfaces from Space using a system of satellites, 365 days a year, offering images and data to provide insights into weather situations, environmental hazards and climate change. Our work helps users worldwide to monitor changes in these to protect lives, lifestyles and properties. As part of our development, we are recruiting two Configuration Management CM Engineers to provide CM Support for our operational systems. We want candidates with experience, a keen eye for detail and good interpersonal skills to work across our organisation to help us ensure our changes are managed and tracked effectively. You will develop an maintain working practices across all our operational systems, ensuring baseline configurations of hardware and software, with related documentation, are properly set and maintained. You will support the meetings of the Change Control Boards, delivering regular reporting and providing metricsKPIs. Using your expertise in the field, you will strive to continuously improve our CM processes. You will have a background working with large scale, softwareintensive systems in an operational environment, preferably for highavailability 24h7day systems in the aerospace sector. You will have experience in process modelling and a professional knowledge of CM tools. Experience as administrator of such tools will be considered as a specific asset. You will be adept at software development with objectoriented programming languages, using relational databases, testing methodologies, quality standards and modelling.
