My last article on ConocoPhillips pointed out a deterioration in the company's fundamentals largely caused by the spinoff of Phillip 66 and the rather disturbing trend in oil. When crude started its decline in 2014, many companies were still operating as if everything was fine, ConocoPhillips wasn't an exception.
