Contracts Specialist The Contracts Specialist position involves contract administration and commercial expertise in order to maximize revenue and profits while minimizing risk to the company. Responsibilities Development of large complex Contracts sales, teaming, joint venture, cooperation, confidentiality, licensing, personal services consulting, and representative and associated Subcontracts Negotiates Contracts, Subcontracts and Amendments with the customer and Subcontractors Identifies commercial risks intellectual property, insurance, political considerations, compliance with government regulations and standards, sensitivities surrounding importexport of goods or services associated with complex contracts and mitigates them Reports changes and risks to management Review and advise on contractual requirements expressed in Requests for ProposalQuotations Provides a balance of assumed risks between the customerpartner, prime and subcontractor Handles complex projects and agreements Helps formulate risk mitigation strategies Evaluates the commercial terms and recommends acceptances to senior management Requirements Minimum 10 years of related experience in industry or government, with an emphasis on progressive experience International experience is an asset Degree in Engineering, Finance or Business Administration from a recognized institution, or the equivalent, with additional courses on contractual law. Very good verbal and written communication skills are required Must possess effective negotiating and analytical skills Very good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and interact with Project Managers, Business Area and Division Executives Works well under pressure Strong leadership and managerial skills
