It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year.A vacancy for a Cost Engineer Telecomms has arisen within Airbus Defence Interface with the cost owners to spread out the proposal assumptions Generates or leads costing activities cost estimation providing robust and neutral cost estimates or quotations to internal Proposal Team in regard of available assumptions, references, models and commitment of the cost owners Performs cost analysiscost assessment on recurringnonrecurring activitiesproductsservices Supports risk assessment Prepares, challenges, and synthesizes required assumptions for the production of cost estimates, in the absence of inputs has the ability to generate assumptions Analyzes the variance between Vetting and EAC and supports reconciliation Supports handover from proposal phase to program team ensuring internal understanding of cost drivers and acceptance of cost estimates Supports value analysis exercises through cost driver expertise Harmonises and rationalises costing practices through the setting of costing standards, upgrading of cost processes and tools and continuous updating of expertise lessons learnt.We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Background in Engineering with previous experience related to Cost engineering Good knowledge of satellite hardware specifically Telecom Repeater equipment is essential Proven experience of working to time and quality with a high degree of accuracy Very good MS Excel literacy Critical thinking Excellent team working skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment Proactive and ability to work with deadlines Fluent level in English.Please apply on line for this vacancy on line at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached.To apply click here
