Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton prices have last week surged to new 4-year highs in New York, being boosted by weather concerns and a jump of cotton fiber and yarn prices in China where poor weather could also affect the next crop. The December contract has sharply risen in New York, meaning that cotton prices are expected to stay at a very high level in the coming season, with China possibly returning to the international market. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index".
