Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton prices have further dropped on the international market, but could now stabilize over a continuously strong demand and a lower US production in the coming season than previously expected, due to the Texan devastating drought. Indian cotton prices have continued rising, as exports are boosted by the fall of the rupee and China's 25% additional tariffs on US cotton, as of next Friday. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India and Pakistan are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.
