Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

The cotton market is now experiencing "the calm before the storm". Ongoing trade negotiations between Beijing and Washington could result in a sharp rebound in Chinese demand for US cotton, therefore boosting prices by early March. Global market fundamentals are also increasingly bullish, after the ICAC has lowered ending stocks and key stocks-to-use ratio. Demand is already strong from Pakistan whereas still very firm from Bangladesh. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India and Pakistan are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.
