Cotton futures have recovered in the last week in New York, over renewed optimism about US-China trade talks. Beijing has already announced that leading spinners will be exempted from retaliatory tariffs on US cotton. China's cotton imports have surged in the first half, mostly benefiting Brazil, as confirmed by our June data per origin. Our weekly cotton report covers the futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index".
