Cotton prices could stay at very low levels for two years, at least, as cotton stocks will reach record highs outside China, in line with a long-term fall of cotton use. The latest data from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) are offering a gloomy picture for the post-Covid era. Our weekly cotton report covers the futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India, Pakistan, and Brazil are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.
