Covance shareholders to vote next month on $6.1B acquisition by LabCorp

Shareholders of New Jersey-based clinical trial research firm Covance will vote Feb. 18 on whether the company should be acquired by Laboratory Corp. of America in a $6.1 billion deal announced last year . The purchase of the company by Burlington-based LabCorp will create a much broader health care company that will be one of the biggest in the world focusing on medical testing and clinical trial research.
