Cummins Inc. continued to offer a conservative forecast for sales growth this year while reporting a 7 percent increase in first-quarter sales. The Columbus-based Fortune 200 company announced Tuesday that sales from January through March increased from $4.4 billion to $4.7 billion compared to a year earlier.
