Cutrale-Safra extends deadline for Chiquita tender offer

Slowly but steadily, the outstanding shares of Chiquita Brands International Inc. are coming into hands of what will be the new private owners of the Charlotte-based banana company. So far 82 percent of the Chiquita shares have been submitted since the Oct. 27 agreement by Cutrale and Safra Groups to buy Chiquita .
