DEQ approves copper exploration near White Sulphur Springs

Tintina Alaska Exploration was given the OK Thursday by the state Department of Environmental Quality begin construction of a 5,200-foot underground tunnel to collect up to 10,000 tons of ore-bearing material to gauge the viability of developing a copper mine in Meagher County.
