DONOHUE: MTA talking fare rise - here's what to expect

Now that the gubernatorial election is over, the MTA is ready to talk about its plans to raise fare and toll revenues 4%, which equals nearly $290 million a year. The authority will soon publish the dates of the public hearings it is legally mandated to hold before its board votes on a new set of prices that are scheduled to go into effect in March.
