This is a permanent position, calling for at least 5 years experience of working with DOORS. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should ideally be available to start in April 2014. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The main working language is English. In this environment DOORS is used to manage and provide traceability for the specification trees for satellite programs, to manage product requirements for a Satellite Application Facility Network, and to support other specific projects. The role will embrace Installation, maintenance and upgrades of DOORS client and server software, including testing the compatibility of existing customisations with software upgrades Maintenance and improvements of existing tools DXL, Word macros, HTML, JavaScript, Visual basic scripts, RPE templates and document specifications Integration between DOORS and other information systems covering document management, configuration management, and anomaly processing Creation and testing of regular DOORS server backups DOORS user and access rights administration Investigating potential LDAP support for DOORS user management Monitoring and reporting on daily usage of DOORS licenses Provision of first level support User training Supporting the import and export of requirements to and from DOORS Keeping up to date on developments associated with DOORS and making recommendations for long term maintainability Quality assurance, verification, configuration and change management activities The key experience and attributes sought are 5 years experience of using DOORS for requirements management 3 years experience of administering DOORS 3 years experience of DXL 1 years experience with RPE Experience in providing DOORS user support and delivering user training Knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Experience in formal documentation, preferably in an ISO 9001 project and service environment Knowledge of some of the following would be advantageous Using DOORS for verification management Tomcat, Apache LDAPAD HTML or JavaScript Java ITIL, in particular with respect to change and configuration management Candidates should possess a University degree or equivalent.
