Dangerous Railroad Intersection in Scooba

Those were the sentiments of the Mayor of Scooba Allen Beaty about the Kansas City Southern Railway and Highway 16 crossing near downtown Scooba. According to Mississippi Department of Transportation more than 3,000 cars cross this crossing every day and with no crossing guards, city and county leaders identify this intersection as dangerous and a few years ago the dangers were realized.
