(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom has named Srini Gopalan its new board member responsible for its Europe activities outside Germany. Gopalan is currently Consumer Director India at Bharti Airtel and will join Deutsche Telekom on 01 October. After an onboarding period, he will take over the duties of Claudia Nemat who will head the new Technology and Innovation Board department and relinquish responsibility for the Europe segment from the start of 2017. Before joining Airtel, Gopalan worked in the UK for over ten years, including as Chief Marketing Officer at T-Mobile UK and Director Consumer Business Unit at Vodafone UK.
