Dear Apple: Ericsson Wants More Money From Its Patents

Apple is seeking a declaratory judgment that seeks to declare the specific patents that Ericsson claims as essential to LTE are not in fact essential to LTE. Ericsson stands to gain a lot of money if the U.S. court upholds its LTE patents and order Apple to pay royalty rates that apply to the whole device's base.
