Death of man found on James Island last month ruled a homicide

The death of a man whose body was found near a James Island grocery store this month has been ruled a homicide. The body of George Whetsell was found in the woods on Oct. 1 on the west side of Harris Teeter near Folly Road, according to Charleston police.
