Defra chief has farmer summit

Environment Secretary Liz Truss is expected to set out proposals to help the agriculture industry cope with price volatility and relationships with retailers when she addresses the Devon NFU's annual open meeting tomorrow. Farming leaders from the county will gather at Exeter Racecourse to discuss issues such as dealing with bovine TB, restricted cash flows and the uncertainty which surrounds the application process for the next round of Common Agricultural Policy funding.
