Delta: Southwest has 'virtual monopoly' at Love Field; seeks emergency help from court

Delta Air Lines on Tuesday asked the U.S. District Court in Dallas to block Southwest Airlines from booting Delta out of a disputed gate at Dallas Love Field . Delta's emergency motion requests a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction against Dallas-based Southwest , which on Friday filed its own motion asking the court to prevent Delta from "trespassing" at Southwest's gates after July 7. A contract that lets Delta use a Southwest gate at the 20-gate airport expires July 6. In a brief accompanying the motion, Delta claims Southwest wields to much power at Love Field.
